Whitney Hammel Anny
As the cofounder of Autism Compassion Africa, an NGO in Ghana and 501c3 nonprofit in the US, Whitney has been instrumental to building local capacity, delivering unrivaled ABA services, and shining a light on autism to tackle stigmas and human rights issues in West Africa. These efforts are made possible by Autism Compassion Services in Seattle, which she founded in part to fund Autism Compassion Africa’s endeavors in Ghana and Nigeria.
Hailing from Oregon, USA, Whitney’s journey has spanned the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, India, Ghana, and Nigeria. With over 15 years in the field of applied behavior analysis, underpinned by a Master of Education Degree in Severe Special Education from Simmons University, she has a deep-rooted passion for championing the needs of autistic children and young adults. Her experience spans individuals aged 20 months to 23 years in residential facilities, home and community setups, general education classrooms, and ABA clinics.
