Rachel Knudten

 M.Sc., CCC-SLP

Speech-Language Pathologist

Rachel is a Speech-Language Pathologist certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed in the state of Washington. She brings experience supporting children and adolescents across a variety of settings, including early intervention, U.S. public schools, international preschools, teletherapy, and private clinics. Her clinical experience includes supporting early developmental skills, addressing emerging areas of need, and working with individuals with complex and multiple disabilities.

Rachel earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and her Master’s degree in Medical Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington in Seattle, graduating in 2018. She later completed a second Master’s degree in Epidemiology at the University of Basel, further developing her research skills and scientific knowledge.

Rachel is passionate about understanding each individual’s unique strengths, needs, and goals and using that understanding to guide meaningful evaluation and intervention. She stays engaged with current research and emerging best practices to ensure her clinical decisions are informed by the strongest available evidence. Rachel combines this evidence-based approach with her clinical experience to develop individualized interventions that are responsive to each child’s skills, preferences, and learning style.

She believes effective speech-language therapy should be both purposeful and meaningful, and she strives to create supportive environments where children can actively participate in their own progress. Through collaboration with families and other professionals, Rachel works to help each child build communication skills that support greater independence, connection, and participation in everyday life.
