Gina Norton

With over two decades of experience in education, Gina has had the opportunity to work with students at all levels to help them build the skills they need to be successful in their lives. It’s been a fulfilling journey, and she takes pride in the impact she’s had on shaping the future of her students.  After obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Texas State University as well as her teaching certification, she began her career as a special education teacher working with students with intensive behavioral needs. She was able to build upon these skills with a relocation to New York which allowed her to advance to the position of behavior specialist, both at the building level as a practitioner and a supervisor/policy maker at the district level. This passion further led her to complete her Master’s Degree in Educational Psychology from the University of Albany and her Advanced Certificate in Applied Behavior Analysis from the Sage Colleges. Gina obtained her BCBA certification in 2019.  In 2021, she returned to central Texas to focus on developing programming to promote the social-emotional wellness of all students through a trauma-informed and restorative lens.

As a behavior analyst, Gina works to understand and improve behaviors by examining the environmental factors that influence behavior. She uses data-driven methods to assess behavior and design interventions that help individuals improve their lives. She looks forward to the new adventure of working/living in Germany and learning the clinical environment.
