Eric Shafarman

Clinical Director

Eric is a passionate clinician with a rich tapestry of experiences ranging from teaching in South Korea to pioneering ABA initiatives in Dubai. Eric is a graduate of New York University with a Bachelors in Applied Psychology, and further developed his clinical expertise earning a Masters in Professional Behavior Analysis from Florida Institute of Technology. His early days in New York City were marked by roles as a research assistant and tutor in public schools, and then as a summer camp and guided tour counselor for children and adults with disabilities.

Venturing into the ABA realm in 2014, Eric ascended through roles as a Behavior Technician, Case Manager, and Clinical Supervisor in Oakland, CA, becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by 2017. As Clinical Director in 2019, he played a pivotal role in establishing a school-based ABA clinic in Dubai, UAE. Before joining the Knospe-Lerncenter team, Eric managed diverse cases as a telehealth-based therapist.

Across his career, Eric has imparted communication skills to early learners, honed the social abilities of teenagers, and facilitated vocational training for adults. He’s especially adept at early intervention and functional communication training, reveling in teaching children their first words. Eric’s goal is to help each child find their voice and interact harmoniously with their family and environment. Today, Eric is dedicated to serving the children of US military and other English-speaking families throughout Bavaria.
