Bara’ Al-Saleem

M.A., BCBA

Behavior Analyst

Bara is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst with a unique background in both Occupational Therapy and Applied Behavior Analysis. She began her career in 2014 as an Occupational Therapist before pursuing her passion for behavior analysis, earning her BCBA certification and dedicating her work to supporting adolescents and adults on the autism spectrum, particularly those with co-occurring diagnoses.

Throughout her career, Bara has focused on addressing the needs of this often underserved population through individualized, compassionate care. She has extensive experience supporting clients in the areas of social skills development, executive functioning, vocational training, and transition planning. Her collaborative approach extends beyond direct services to include family support, community partnerships, and interdisciplinary teamwork, helping individuals build meaningful skills and greater independence across all aspects of life.

Bara has also been actively involved in community education and advocacy. She has facilitated ASDAN programs designed to promote life skills and independence, served as a trained Sibshop Facilitator providing support to siblings of individuals with disabilities, and led workshops for schools and community organizations to foster greater understanding and inclusion of neurodivergent individuals.

Inspired by her own experience navigating anxiety, Bara pursued specialized training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing. She integrates these approaches into her practice, blending evidence-based behavioral strategies with a contextual, values-driven perspective that promotes psychological flexibility, resilience, and lasting change. Bara is committed to empowering individuals and families through compassionate, person-centered care that honors each person’s strengths, goals, and unique journey.
