Bückeburg, Germany – April 2, 2024 – At Knospe-Lerncenter, our mission has always been to empower individuals on the autism spectrum and their families through evidence-based, compassionate, and culturally sensitive support. We are proud to announce our ongoing commitment to donate to Autism Compassion Africa (ACA), the non-profit co-founded by our very own Regional Director, Whitney Hammel Anny.
Autism Compassion Africa is dedicated to improving the lives of children with autism and their families in Ghana. As one of the few organizations providing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services in the region, ACA works tirelessly to:
Deliver Direct Therapy: ACA’s team of local and international professionals offers ABA-based interventions that help children on the autism spectrum develop essential communication, social, and daily living skills.
Build Community Capacity: Through workshops and hands-on training, ACA empowers parents, educators, and community members to become advocates and service providers, fostering sustainable, long-term support.
Raise Awareness and Acceptance: By partnering with schools, local leaders, and families, ACA leads autism awareness campaigns that encourage understanding and inclusivity in communities throughout Ghana.
ACA’s holistic approach focuses on helping children and families thrive in a way that respects local cultures and customs. This model of sustainable, relationship-based support aligns perfectly with Knospe-Lerncenter’s core values.
Beginning this April, recognized globally as a month of autism acceptance and advocacy, Knospe-Lerncenter will make regular donations to ACA. Our contributions will help:
Expand Early Intervention Services: More children will have the opportunity to receive ABA therapy at an earlier age, giving them the best possible start.
Fund Training Programs: Increased funding will allow for more intensive training of Ghanaian professionals, parents, and caregivers—building a lasting, self-sufficient support network within local communities.
Enhance Outreach Initiatives: Our donations will boost community awareness campaigns that break down stigma and encourage understanding for individuals with autism.
At Knospe-Lerncenter, we believe that together, we can uplift individuals and families affected by autism—wherever they may live. By supporting Autism Compassion Africa, we are extending our vision beyond borders, offering compassion and resources to communities in need.
